Game concept difference
Initially, this game was to be a allow one player to control the character to avoid incoming monsters and unlock weapons to beat the final boss. However, I found out that this game concept is fairly difficult for one person to develop, so I changed my mind to make the game as a battlefield that will infinitely spawn monsters, and there are two types of monsters, one is ghost which can fly and seek the player , the other is pig, which only can stay on the ground and walk around so and so forth.
The effect of feedback
Due to I have other work to do, I was absent to the week 12's tutorial. However, I have got the feedback from my friend. They are :
1. It can't kill the monster
2. The life goes zero but player can still move.
3. There are no death animation for both player and monsters.
For these feedback, I have to say sorry about that, because till now I have not complete them yet, and it reaches its due date, and I have to submit it. However, I will fix it in the future.
Asset list
The assets source are all from itch.io and the list below shows the assets that are currenctly in use:
1. King and pigs
King and pigs is a free asset set but I only used its sprite for pigs and back ground tile for castle.
2. Animated pixel Advenduruer
Animated pixel Advenduruer is the sprites I used for the main character, so that it achieves the idle, run, attack and jump animation.
3. Boss : Undead Executioner
Boss : Undead Executioner is the sprites I used for ghost, so that it achieves the idle and attack.
User guide
The name of the game is pig's castle.
The player(s) needs to get their score by kill the monsters as many as possible, and avoid the monster touches the player, there are only three lifes, if the player run out of life, the game is over, and the score is the final score, try and get more scores!!
The WASD controls the main character by W is jump, A is go left, S is crouch, D is go to right.
J is attack, and if the the player jumped and attack, it will go air-attack.
The image above shows the ghost is chasing player by following Astar search algorithm.
The image above shows the pigs are moving on the ground.
